Skifield Map

Our six skifields:

Porters: Porters is the closest ski area to Christchurch. With a short access road, fantastic learner slopes and a mountain of terrain for experts. Everything is there for you at Porters – and it’s designed to make your day as much fun as possible.

Mt Olympus: Only two hour’s drive from Christchurch, Mt Olympus is a field with plenty of character. Mt Olympus is perfect for those who enjoy untracked slopes, narrow chutes, or deep powder basins. The "Top Hut" offers a fantastic après-ski option for the lucky few who manage to book a bunk, complete with a hot tub overlooking the slopes.

Mt Cheeseman: Mt Cheeseman is renowned for its friendly and relaxed culture and fun, family environment. The second closest ski area to Christchurch, its sunny east to south east basin with open rolling terrain provides great beginner and intermediate slopes.

Broken River: Broken River offers fantastic terrain for all levels, on-mountain accommodation, uncrowded powder basins and loaded chutes. It is also renowned for its friendly and inviting atmosphere and communal BBQ on the Palmer Lodge deck.

Craigieburn: Craigieburn Valley Ski Area, located in the heart of New Zealand's Southern Alps, where the ups are good, and the downs are even better. Steep narrow chutes, wide open powder bowls, un-crowded runs or just a place to take it easy in the awesome vista of the Craigieburn Range. If you are an advanced or expert rider then Craigieburn is your holy grail.

Temple Basin: Temple Basin is surrounded by the beauty of Arthur's Pass National Park. Many international boarders rank it as one of the best areas in the world. It's not for the faint- of-heart because it's a bit of a hike up the hill from the main highway, but the thrill of staying at a comfortable lodge with your own chef in middle Main Divide is well worth it.
